  • Insurance Specialist, Insurance & Risk Finance *

Nokia is looking for an insurance specialist to perform a number of different operational roles in the Insurance & Risk Finance (I&RF) Team in Corporate Finance.

Corporate Finance is a global corporate level finance function accountable for all Treasury (including I&RF) and Structured Finance as well as Pensions Investments operations, risks, transactions and processes globally, reporting to Nokia CFO. Corporate Finance is organized as six global Treasury functions, three Regional Treasury & Structured Finance Teams as well as a separate Pensions Investments organization.

I&RF is one of the global centralized Treasury functions in Corporate Finance. I&RF is responsible for all corporate insurance and risk financing programmes including design, broker and consultant vendor selection, coverage execution, insurance programme management, captive insurance company management and claims handling supervision. I&RF also leads the Nokia Blue risk management programme in conjunction with WR (Workplace Resources) and GOPS (Global Operations). This is a risk engineering survey and audit programme focused on Nokia s major locations and also Nokia s key supplier locations.

The I&RF team is an international team located in London, Munich and New Jersey, but this new position will be based in Espoo. The head of I&RF is presently located in London.

  • Main responsibility areas/ business role *

    • Global Policy Compliance *

Managing Nokia s Global Fronting Insurance Programmes to ensure local insurance policies are issued where required. Working closely with key stakeholders internally and externally which will include Nokia s brokers and insurers:-

o Property and Business Interruption

o Erection All Risks

o Marine Stock Throughput

o General Public & Product Liability

o Errors & Omissions Liability

o Business Travel

o Directors & Officers Liability

* * Processing premium invoices * .

Working closely internally with Nokia s various finance teams:-

o Verifying invoices, eg. Checking information, amount, etc.

o Creating new vendor accounts, if required

o Processing invoices using Nokia s Finance Tools

o Following up and obtaining remittance details to ensure premium payment conditions are met

* * Insurance Certificate Issuance *

Managing the issuance of Insurance Certificates to ensure Nokia complies with insurance contractual conditions.

o Dealing with day to day enquiries from Nokia s Customers Teams

o Working with our brokers to ensure certificates of insurance issued correctly and in a timely fashion

* * Global Business Travel Insurance Policy *

Managing the Global Business Travel Insurance Policy including handling day to day enquires and claims, etc.

* * Relationships *

  • Providing support to I&RF team members

  • Interfacing with key external stakeholders: brokers, risk management consultants, claims advisors and insurers

  • Interfacing with key internal stakeholders: Business Groups, CIOO, Legal, HR and Sourcing

Qualifications:

  • Qualifications *

  • Individual characteristics/ qualifications: *

  • A professional insurance qualification is not essential, but prior experience (minimum 2 years) in accounting or finance or legal or business will be required

  • A desire to learn more about insurance, risk management and the insurance market going forward is imperative

  • Excellent communication and networking skills, customer service orientation

  • Combination of business acumen and process mind set, excellent process development and project management skills and experience as well as analytical and presentation skills
