Manager, New Earning Logics
We are looking for a
Manager, New Earning Logics
to develop and define new earning logics, business models and service concepts for Kalmar Services, focusing especially on digital services, and to lead related service business development.
In this position you will report to Vice President, New Service Business Concepts and will work with the Kalmar Services organisation, especially with the Digital development teams, Market Intelligence, and in addition with our customers, front line units, and product lines.
New service business development, focusing on new earning logics, data-driven and digital services and related new business models
Creating and piloting new service business concepts, in particular data-driven and digitally-enabled services
Identifying new service business opportunities together with Market Intelligence and Digital development teams, other internal stakeholders and customers
Prioritisation of the development activities and measuring the impact of the developed concepts
Development of the concepts further to become part of the Kalmar service offering
Alignment with new product development and service offering development, ensuring serviceability of new equipment
In order to be successful in this position we believe you fulfil the following criteria:
- Master’s degree in business / industrial management, engineering, information technology or similar
At least 5 years of working experience, in service business and/or heavy machinery industry
Business development experience in the field of digital services relevant to heavy machinery industry
Experience in agile business development, service conceptualisation, service design and customer co-creation processes
Experience in developing new earning logics and business models for (digital) services
Customer service mindset
Excellent spoken and written communication skills
Driven by new value creation for customers
Strong business orientation
Capability to understand, identify and crystallize customer needs and hidden needs
Understanding of how to apply design thinking and service design methodologies in heavy machinery industry to create new services
Understanding of how to create service concepts that deliver customer value
Understanding and capability to apply different business models in service business
Knowledge and understanding of novel monetization models for digitally-enabled service business
General IT skills, understanding of field service tools, ERP systems, IoT platforms, and other systems and platforms used in service business
A thorough knowledge of the business processes and operations in area of responsibility
Ability to work under pressure to keep agreed deadlines
Ability to work in international environment
Fluent in English, preferably also in Finnish or Swedish (written and spoken)

Creating new concepts bringing value to external and internal customers
Defining the new service concepts and earning logics, and working together with selected pilot customers to commercialise the concepts
Succeeding in stakeholder relationship management
Alignment with business requirements
The office location for this job is in Helsinki or Tampere, Finland or Ljungby, Sweden.
