Product manager, Software and Automation Applications

Kalmar’s Automation and Projects division is looking for a

Product manager, Software and Automation Applications

to strengthen our Software and Automation product management. You will be based in Tampere, Finland.

The purpose of your work is to manage software and automation applications in collaboration with businesses outside automation and projects division (e.g. Mobile Equipment, Services, Bromma, MacGregor, Hiab). This includes product planning, release management and contribution into process development.

  • Product strategy and vision

  • Product roadmaps

  • Requirements

  • Product documentation

  • Product releases

  • Licensing models

  • Life-cycle management


  • M.Sc (eng) in automation, information technology or industrial economics

  • At least 5 years experience in product management, with emphasis on product planning and life-cycle management

  • Previous experience in technical sales support

  • Preferably some R&D experience in machine automation or IT industry

  • Container terminal operations experience is seen as an advantage

  • Excellent communication skills in English (both written and spoken)

  • Excellent co-operation skills
